World Summit: #1
Summit overview
* Talks made by South Central African Union, New Kalmar and Sebia for peace talks * Sebia's land in Africa was discussed and left to Sebia * Mongolia was reclassified as a satellite state of the European Commonwealth and a buffer between Sebia and the USSR * SCAU and Sebia both agreed that the RoC is a threat due to it's recent military defences * Nuclear Technology was discussed. Currently only concern by New Kalmar with a member state of Sebia's actions in the past * NES has concern with the USSR's treatment of citizens and economy as it's communist.
Summit leader notes:
Summit leader: Pacific Alliance Location hosted: Sebia/Australia Summit number: #1 Notes: The summit was very successful in resolving conflicts. Some issues have been raised in relationship to other nations, such as the RoC who have built some defences and their threats of spying action on Sebia. Nuclear technology proves to not be of massive concern. People involved: * Sebia * Pacific Alliance (spoken by Sebia) * New Kalmar * European Commonwealth (spoken by New Kalmar) * South Central African Union Chat tags: * Pacific_Alliance with no tag = meeting leader * [S] = Sebia * [PA] = Pacific Alliance * [NK] = New Kalmar
Notes by South Central African Union:
I think the summit went well. Although, I was gone for the last 10 minutes, I was able to catch up. I think it allowed us to relieve a bit of the tensions.
Chat log
[22:49]
The first part of the summit is world relations. With recent happenings of New Kalmars prime minister's death, and their belief of it being Sebia has caused strain on relationships around the world. [22:49]
As has the Pacific Alliance's expansion across the globe. [22:49]
Perks of being independent are showing. :) [22:50]
Currently strain between Sebia and New Kalmar; Sebia and RoC is present. Does any country have any concerns of relationships? [22:51]
I have a concern between Sebia and NK [22:51]
As does the the European Commonwealth. [22:52]
South_Central_African_Union: Can you please explain the concern you currently have? [22:52]
alright. [22:52]
Obviously the blame of the New Kalmarian Prime Minister's death being put on Sebia has done some damage [22:53]
European_Commonwealth: You will be able to speak later on. I will ask you about your concerns [22:53]
I thought you were asking the both of us x3 [22:53]
The main problem I have is that the NK hasn't yet accepted a non-aggression pact with the SCAU, so we would be at a sort of obligation to fight along side our ally of Sebia. [22:54]
Okay. Thank you. European_Commonwealth, you may now say your concerns [22:55]
There's obviously some amount of strain between New Kalmar and Sebia. [22:56]
Sebia have 'recently' left the European Commonwealth, thus making it lose a lot of land - a move viewed as hostile by New Kalmar. [22:56]
They have then allied with the Equatorial Republic and have been violently claiming satellite states for their own. [22:57]
Following this, it is widely believed the Sebian government have ordered the assassination of the New Kalmarian Prime Minister and have been funding a Pacific Alliance terrorist organization. [22:57]
Is that all? [22:57]
#ThatIsAll [22:57]
Sebia may now speak [22:58]
[S] In regards to South_Central_African_Union's statement. If war was to happen you wouldn't have to join us. If a defence-pact could be made between us that would be great. That way if you got into a tricky situation we would aid you. [22:59]
[S] Our relationship between New Kalmar has become very damaged over the recent allegations. We currently have no comment on what has happened. [23:00]
[NK] Sebia's silence is something we, as a nation, find suspicious. [23:00]
I will have to take leave from the summit. If the logs could be shared so I may look over them when I return, that would be optimal. [23:00]
[S] Our choice to leave the European Commonwealth was a move to work together with the Equatorial Republic. The land was under ownership of Sebia during the European Commonwealth, however; there was never an agreement made stating that the land was officially under the European Commonwealth. Enough time had passed of the land being a satellite state and we choose to completely merge it into Sebia. [23:01]
South_Central_African_Union: Okay. All logs will be visable from: http://nfell2009.uk/nn2/logs?id=ws1 [23:01]
visible* [23:01]
A joint operation of some sort may be a start towards rebuilding the relations between Sebia and New Kalmar. [23:01]
Who can take ownership of Mongolia? [23:01]
It is currently a satellite state of the European Commonwealth, which New Kalmar owns, founded and leads. [23:02]
Thank you. When another summit is called, I will try my best to attend. [23:02]
[S] We would like to propose an offer of forgiveness between Sebia and New Kalmar [23:02]
South_Central_African_Union: It's alright :) [23:02]
HOWEVER; Mongolia was made a satellite state at the request of Sebia. [23:02]
Just like the land in Africa. [23:03]
[NK] New Kalmar is willing to accept the proposal - however, we still think you own too much land and see you as a threat. [23:04]
[S] Mongolia was set up without direct involvement of Sebia. While the African land was taken by invasion. This makes the land owned by Sebia directly unlike Mongolia [23:04]
The land borders the USSR and Sebia. [23:05]
[S] That is correct. But Sebia did not invade the land. It was set by the European Commonwealth [23:07]
Should Mongolia be reclassified as both a satellite state and work like a buffer state? [23:07]
[S] It can be. Sebia has no objections to it. [23:09]
Is that it for the tensions between the European Commonwealth, Pacific Alliance, New Kalmar and Sebia? [23:09]
[S] How do you mean? [23:10]
I have time yet. I would like to talk a bit about the Republic of Coven. [23:10]
Both of us have nothing left to say? [23:10]
Go ahead :3 [23:10]
[S] I believe our issues have been resolved. [23:10]
South_Central_African_Union, you may now speak. [23:11]
I see them as a bit of a threat, considering they are installing large military defences along a neutral, if not allied border. [23:11]
[S] I too see them as a threat. After the recent incident in New Kalmar they immediately threatened spy action on Sebia. [23:11]
while they are far enough away from me, I am voicing this not only for my sake. [23:18]
The RoC do prove to be very threatening with their sudden military tactics. We believe that their defences raise concern that they're preparing for an attack. [23:19]
[S] As they're based only on islands which are close to America and Canada they might be planning to attack us and then be ready for anything we throw back. [23:20]
Or they might just be installing defenses incase of a Sebian attack. [23:20]
[S] We find it quite insulting how you can say that. We currently have no plans of attack. [23:22]
How are we supposed to know that? [23:23]
It is our duty as nations to protect our populace from any possible threats whether they have the possibility of attacking or not. [23:23]
[S] We have repeatedly said that attack will only be via irritation. While RoC have irritated us by their threats, they currently have no followed up on them, thus we have not launched an attack. [23:24]
With a landmass the size of yours one has to be ready for everything. [23:24]
The sun never sets within your alliance. [23:26]
We would also like to know if the Pacific Alliance is nuclear capable or not... [23:26]
We have chosen not to comment on our nuclear capability at this moment of time. [23:29]
The SCAU is exploring the possibilities of nuclear power, but nuclear weapons are not being developed now or in the near future, unless a worldwide threat arises, and nuclear deterrents are required. [23:30]
[NK] We will regard that statement with suspicion; which therefore means that RoC's defense placing is justified. [23:30]
And I am back! [23:30]
Welcome to the summit. [23:30]
Welcome theNewEuropeanState. To view logs of the chat: http://nfell2009.uk/nn2/logs?id=ws1 [23:31]
I was here before but had to go. At what point in the discussion are we in? [23:31]
We're currently discussing nuclear technology [23:32]
[S] European_Commonwealth, please take note that Sebia is at a stage of development with nuclear technology. We're currently uncertain of our capabilities. [23:33]
I will take notice to that. NES has fully capable bombs that use uranium. [23:33]
[NK] One of your member states were the first to develop nuclear bombs and the only one to ever use one. [23:34]
Roes are Red [23:34]
Violets are blue [23:34]
In Soviet Russia, space explore you! [23:35]
[S] While we do admit of use previously. We're still unsure of what technology we do have. Since the creation of Sebia, information is still being recorded. [23:35]
SEAA and theNewEuropeanState, do you have any concerns in world relations? [23:36]
Not currently [23:36]
Okay, and theNewEuropeanState, do you? [23:37]
Yes. I am concerned a war similar to the one we just ended is a large possibility of occurring in Europe with Sebia's actions recently. As a result I have started to build stations every two miles to keep the USSR out, and I am considering doing the same for Ireland. [23:38]
An agreement was made between Sebia and New Kalmar for peace with the recent situations. [23:39]
Does anyone have any other concerns for nuclear technology? [23:39]
But not with the European Commonwealth and the Pacific Alliance. [23:39]
We do not have the full agreement of all of our state members. [23:39]
In that case I have no other concerns as to global relations. However, I am not fond of he way soviet citizens are living at the moment. [23:40]
Please explain. [23:40]
I have no concern over nuclear tech, and the SEAA is looking into chemicals [23:41]
theNewEuropeanState, please expand upon your recent point about the USSR. [23:42]
OOC: I'm going to be afk for about 3-4 minutes. [23:42]
I am worried specifically about the way the economy is built, the communist form of economy is harmful to the ability of their citizens to live freely. [23:44]
By the way, please pardon any slow responses, I am on LTE right now. I had to hotspot the computer because I am in the car. [23:45]
OOC: Back :3 [23:45]
[S] Currently China is ruled in the same way. We're hoping to change to a democratic system like the other member states. [23:45]
Communism doesn't mean lack of freedom. [23:45]
[S] USSR's system doesn't raise concern for us yet. But we would advise it to swap as we have predicted problems with USSR and China's economy. [23:46]
And what concerns would you have us address? [23:53]
Our economic experts have predicted failure within the economy of USSR mainly. China's economy is predicted to run longer however problems will still occur. [23:54]
How can the European Commonwealth help with that matter? [23:54]
Suggestion to the USSR that communism will not last very long.
